About Maddie

Oh hey, fancy seeing you here. Here’s the down and dirty version of my story.

I got my start in the video game industry working for companies like Nokia, Nintendo, and Microsoft where I learned a metric ton about marketing, public relations, and new product launches.

I got tired of working corporate and went the opposite way when founded a game development studio called Depressed Panda Studios. I’m proud to say we developed and released a game that was pirated over 200,000 times (high-five!). Sadly it didn’t sell that many copies but it lead me to new opportunities.

I then created the world’s (probably) first digital gaming magazine on the original OG iPad. I sold that to Microsoft for a big pile of cheddar (and they promptly killed the magazine).

I then got addicted to photography and entered that world. I quickly found out that I enjoyed marketing photography more than I enjoyed taking photographs so I founded an SEO company that catered specifically to small businesses (including photographers).

Wanting to try something new, I got the sports card bug and spent 1.5 years with JunkWaxVintage, a pretty rad sports card breaking company where I developed a pretty damn innovative website and Twitch bot that has a feature set that other companies will surely copy for themselves.

It’s now 2025, I just accepted a new full-time employment opportunity working for eBay as a Product Manager for their eBay Live platform. Now I get to run a small team of brilliant new friends who are forging the future of eBay, one new feature at a time.

When I’m not eBaying, I’m freelancing writing the occasional tech review for USA Today, Forbes, and HuffPost.
